There is much literature on this subject. The best place to obtain literature on effloresence is through the NCMA TEK Notes which are available both online through the NCMA website as well as directly from NCMA. The specific TEK Note that you want is TEK 8-3A "Control and Removal of Efflorescence". You can either contact NCMA or CMPC for copies of this TEK Note.
