Depending on whether this wall is under
construction or not ...the structural design
of the wall might be changed to include a
pilaster type of system with the wall
spanning horizontally between the pilasters.
The pilasters might be able to be designed to
resist the lateral load. This will also depend
on what the support conditions for the wall are.
If you provide some loading details, the
structural integrity of a pilaster system could
be evaluated, or other options may be available.
