The masonry industry does not typically use metric units in the United States. This will probably change in time, however there are metric molds available for specific projects. these molds, leased from Canada, can be provided for a specific job. A comprise however is to use soft metric this is merely detailing a traditional 8x8x16" masonry unit in metric, which would become 90x90x180mm units.
