Does the concrete masonry industry in America use the metric system? In Australia, we changed over years ago. 8 inch blocks became 200 mm series. This caused problems mainly in renovations, when trying to extend 8" blockwork with 200 mm series, which are smaller. I would appreciate direction to a site where I might learn of the measureing system/s used in the US.
