The use of masonry in hot climates provides the benefit of thermal mass. Placing insulation on the inside of a structure reduces the effectiveness of this thermal mass. Therefore, we would suggest placing your rigid board insulation on the outside of the building or using an integral insulation material. Integral insulation is placed in the cores of the block in the form of foam or inserts
