I am going to be starting a new project that intails a full basemento to done in 8" CMU 10' walls. the plans have gone to engineering and the engineer is telling me that I am going to have to double up the block if that is the way I want to go. This sounds rediculous to me it would mke my exterior walls 16"+. is this guy crazy or is their somthing that I don't understand?
